FORST live 2020 to be Postponed
As a result of the challenges posed by Coronavirus restrictions, trade fair organizers Messe Offenburg-Ortenau are forced to postpone the trade shows BAUEN WOHNEN Garten, Balance with Gemstone Days and FORST live with Game and Fish indefinitely.
Offenburg. As a result of current developments in the spread of COVID-19, trade fair organizers Messe Offenburg-Ortenau have come to a regrettable but necessary decision: the regional consumer fair BAUEN WOHNEN Garten from 20 to 22 March 2020, the dual fair Balance with Gemstone Days from 28 to 29 March and the international specialist trade fair FORST live with Game & Fish from 3 to 5 April 2020 will not take place as planned, but are postponed to a date as yet unknown.
This decision is in line with the express recommendation of Federal Health Secretary Jens Spahn and State Health Secretary Manne Lucha in the fight against Coronavirus (Covid-19). Risk assessment of large-scale events was carried out based on the principles of the Robert Koch Institute. The situation was reassessed in the light of the event evaluation and the significant increase in the number of infections. There is also rising concern among exhibitors and potential visitors. The in some cases drastic fall in visitor numbers at those trade fairs that have taken place recently are a further indication that this decision, though regrettable, is the right one. “Our customers, partners and employees trust us. And that trust is justified, even in critical situations,” says Fair Director Sandra Kirchner. “This decision was not an easy one for any of those involved. But sadly, in view of current dynamic developments, it is necessary and inevitable,” explained Board Chairman and Mayor Marco Steffens.
Visitors and exhibitors will receive further information in the coming days.
