In the heart of the forest: experience the forestry industry first-hand at the 18th KWF Conference

The 18th KWF Conference took place in Hesse from 19 to 22 June 2024. This largest event worldwide for forestry and forest engineering is organized by the „Kuratorium für Waldarbeit und Forsttechnik e.V. (KWF, the German Committee for Forestry and Forest Engineering),” which has been conducting research for over 60 years and has members from 14 German states.

This trade fair takes place at intervals of four years, in a different federal state each time, but always in the same environment: in the heart of the forest! What better place to demonstrate the numerous application options for the different forestry vehicles, the tree-climbing equipment and our mobile sawmills? 

We took along a KE 90 with the new CX control system and the ME 110which was recently on loan to Marcel Fritsche. Also at the fair were Iron Horses FLEX2 and Essence and the SHARK 200, which will now be making its way from the fair straight to North Rhine-Westphalia: a new customer who is currently waiting for a sawmill to be completed decided on the spot to buy our sharpening machine.   

The surroundings in which the fair takes place are different every time, and this time, the weather, too, was full of surprises, with sunshine, rain, storms and wind.

Nevertheless, it didn’t prevent the many visitors from reaching our stand: it would have taken more than muddy forest tracks to keep them away!
