SL 130i
Mobile or stationary: sawmill for logs up to 130 cm (51.18 in) in diameter
Sawmills that can saw logs with a diameter of up to 130 cm (51.18 in) are rare. When it was introduced in 2002, the SL 130i was the only mobile unit in the world that was able to do so, a fact that was recognized with an Innovation Award in 2004.
A sawmill with convincing equipment options and an excellent price-performance ratio.
Description
The variable saw head with plenty of space above the saw blade allows you to cut heavy logs with a diameter of up to 130 cm (51.18 in). The cast wheel clamping distance of 30 cm (11.81 in) means you can use saw blades of various lengths.

Product features
The base frame
- Extremely stable
- Saw head travels back and forth on a solid frame construction
- The position of the log supports is specified by the customer before the base frame is constructed
- Hydraulic devices for log handling are mounted on and between the supports. Not only for loading, turning, aligning and clamping the logs: you can also feed the sawn timber to a buffer table or a roller conveyor, for example for subsequent resawing
- Supports made from stainless steel to prevent blue staining of certain woods
- Basic cutting lengths 7.0 m and 9.0 m (8.70 m mobile) (22.96 ft and 29.53 ft, 28.54 ft mobile); each can be subsequently extended by up to 4 m (13.12 ft), special lengths on request
The cutting unit
- Center blade tensioning offset upwards for 50 cm (19.68 in) of space above the saw blade
- Variable blade tensioning means easy adjustment for transport
- Road transport possible without turning the saw head
- Various saw blade lengths can be used, saving time and money
- Protective cover opens upward for easy access to the saw blade
- Drive power of the 800 mm (31.50 in) cast steel rollers is 18.5 kW (optionally 22.5 kW)
- Saw blade widths of up to 120 mm (4.72 in)
- Saw blade tensioning, precutter, guide adjustment and saw dust collector are operated hydraulically
The operator’s stand
- User-friendly V-shape with ergonomic arrangement of the operating elements
- Central housing of the electronic machine control
- All variants available from SERRA are possible.
- Hydraulic or electric feed control via joystick, depending on customer requirements
